New Scoliosis Treatment - Chiropractors have devised a way to treat people suffering from scoliosis without resorting to braces or surgery. Scoliosis symptoms - a condition in which the spine is curved sideways at an angle of more than 10 degrees.
The new upper back pain treatment involves hour-long deep tissue massages three times a week to straighten the spine by “unlocking” the rigid muscles holding it in its crooked position.
Scoliosis patients complete this with exercises at home, using special equipment to train the muscles to support the spine in the corrected position. This formula os “mix, fix and set” has straightened patients’ spines significantly.
Most patients develop Scoliosis during their teenage years, usually between the ages of 10 and 18, when they are experiencing growth spurts. Seven times more girls are affected than boys.
Does Scoliosis brace helps the spine curvature problem? Well, Bracing does not correct the existing curvature, but studies have shown that patients with who use the scoliosis brace are three times less likely to have their conditions worsen.
If the curvature grows to 40 to 50 degrees despite scoliosis braces, surgery will be recommended in which metal implants such as rods and screws are inserted to “fuse” the spine in a straight position.
